Trinity To Host Akron Area Churches on Dec. 2nd

On December 2nd at 5:00 pm, Trinity will be hosting the Akron Area American Baptist Women’s Ministries Winter Rally. This annual event features musical and drama/poetry readings. We are in need of individuals, or groups, choral or instrumental, who are willing to share their musical talents. This is a wonderful time for young budding musicians to share in a friendly setting.

Prayer Warriors Needed

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. (James 5:17)

When is the last time you prayed for your church
body? What about your pastor?

Our churches are under attack by the Enemy like never before. Our pastors and each of our brothers and sisters in Christ need our prayers. We are the body of Christ and we need to lift one another up!

Do we really want a healthy church? Do we really want to defeat the Enemy in these battles?

Take five minutes of each day at home to pray for our pastor and for our church. It may be the greatest contribution you can make to our church. If ever there was time our church leaders needed
encouragement and prayerful support, that time is now! If you are truly willing to commit to praying daily for our church and our pastor, then join with other prayer warriors in lifting them up. We are NOT asking you to go to a meeting; just pray anywhere. If you want to be a prayer warrior, please contact Laura Cope or fill out the slip in the bulletin.

Saturday, January 20th at 6:30 p.m. - Free Movie Night - “The Case For Christ”

Invite your friends and join us for the movie “The Case For Christ”. A hard-driving journalist, Lee Strobel was exactly where he expected to be at work: on top. His award-winning investigative reporting recently earned him a promotion to legal editor at the ChicagoTribune. But things weren't going nearly as well at home where his wife Leslie's newfound faith in Christ went against everything Lee believed-or didn't believe-as an avowed atheist. Utilizing his journalistic and legal training, Lee begins a quest to disprove the claims of Christianity in order to save his crumbling marriage. Chasing down the biggest story of his career, Lee comes face-to-face with unexpected results that could change everything he knows to be true. Based on Lee Strobel's award-winning bestselling book and starring Mike Vogel, Erika Christensen, Faye Dunaway, Robert Forster, and Frankie Faison. It's an ideal movie for anyone who has ever pondered the existence of God ... and what role He could play in their lives. Refreshments will be available.

Retired Missionaries and Ministers Offering

During the month of January, we will be collecting our Retired Missionaries and Ministers Offering. (RMMO) This year’s theme is “Generous Giving”. Helping those in need is one of the major themes of the Bible and of Jesus’ ministry. The prophet Isaiah reminds us, “But generous people plan to do what is generous, and they stand firm in their generosity.” (Isaiah 32:8 NLT) Generosity is central to our faith. As Christians, we are called to serve and care for others, and the RMMO aligns with the collective spirit of love that inspires us all to honor the devotion of ministers and their families for their service to the church. Since RMMO began in 1977, it has helped provide much needed “thank you” checks to retired ministers, missionaries, their widowed spouses and families - those who have dedicated their lives to God’s service.. Prayerfully consider what your gift to the Retired Minister and Missionaries Offering will be.
