Team Leader Meeting

The next meeting of all of the Team Leaders will be Tuesday, March 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Carol Warner’s house. We will be discussing putting our previous plans into action, as well as planning for Good Friday, Easter, Vacation Bible School, and the North Canton Street Festival. Please mark your calendars.

Super Bowl Party!

The Metheney’s have graciously opened up their home to host this year’s Super Bowl party! Festivities start at 6:00 p.m., but you are welcome to arrive anytime (before the game ends). Please bring a dish and drinks to share.

Super Bowl Sunday Football Game

Our annual flag football game between the Old Guys (Team Tylenol – 30 years and older) and the Young Folk will be held on Sunday, February 6 at 3:00 p.m. on the front lawn of the church. Come on out and help lead your team to victory, or just come watch and cheer them on. A warm fire and hot chocolate will be available to keep both your inside and outside toasty. The game will end at 5:00 so everyone will have time to watch the other Super Bowl game later.

Baptism Service

We will be celebrating the baptism of several people during a combined worship service tentatively scheduled for Sunday, February 20 at 11:00 a.m. If you would like to be baptized, or would just like to find out more about baptism and the Christian life, please contact Pastor Jon.

Benevolence Fund

In keeping with its Biblical and charitable goals, Trinity has a Benevolence Fund to provide for the basic necessities of life to persons in our membership and in our community who are in need on an urgent basis. This would include food, shelter (hotel, rent or utilities), clothing, medical care, transportation, or other basic necessities. Pastor Jon is our point of contact for screening individual needs and discerning an appropriate response, and for record-keeping and coordinating with other local churches and agencies providing aid services. Please direct any requests for urgent needs to Pastor Jon.

Church Treasurer Position Open

With Mary Dell Baskin’s retirement as Financial Secretary, our current Treasurer, Becki Eberle, has assumed this role, leaving us in search of Church Treasurer candidates. This position is supported by the Administrative Team. Any church member with a background in finance or business with a good head for numbers and some knowledge of balance sheets is encouraged to apply for the position.

Praise Band Looking for a Keyboard Player

With the Dorian’s departure to graduate school in New York, we are looking for a Christian keyboard player to join the Praise Band. Candidates must have a heart for worship, ability to read chord charts and play fill, follow the worship leader and “go with the flow”, and must fit in well with the personality and unity of the band. Ability to jam a plus. This is a paying gig for both rehearsal (Saturday morning) and Sunday morning service.

Thank You

The Worship Team would like to thank everyone who participated in the Advent candle-lighting and the Christmas Eve service: Bob and Jan Pattison; Bob and Ruth Ann Johnson; Carol Warner; Kathie, Bruce and Nathan Frischkorn; Mark, Ellen and Leah Stauffer and Brianna McCune; Mike, Becki and Elizabeth Eberle;  Stefanie, Zoe and Ellie Spicer; David Metheney; Jeremy Probst; Steve MacKim; Dani Nicola; Lisa Rodgers; Paul Miller; Stephanie Cope; Brooke, Josh and Kevin Kitzmiller; and the Praise Band.

Wednesday Night Programming Resumes and Christmas Un-Decorating On January 5

Following the fellowship dinner on Wednesday, January 5, join the ladies for a new Beth Moore study, jump into the men’s study of C. S. Lewis’s “Mere Christianity”, or just stick around and lend a hand with “un-decorating” the sanctuary and lobby. We will need a few hands to take down the greenery and put it away for next year. The kid’s SOS group will be helping to un-decorate the Fellowship Hall also that night.
