Unleavened Communion Bread Recipe

Unleavened Communion Bread Recipe:

1 cup flour

3 tablespoons sugar

1/3 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup shortening

2 to 2-1/2 teaspoons milk


Sift flour, sugar and salt. Cut in shortening. Add a little bit of milk at a time, and only enough to form dough. Roll dough (using a floured rolling pin and floured surface) to 1/4" thick. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet or cookie sheet with parchment paper. Cut into 1/2" squares using a pastry cutter. Bake at 375 degrees until light brown, about 7-10 minutes.
