Did you know you can still find babies in stables? When Trinity's Helping Hands Ministries visited Thistledown Race Track, they saw the cutest infant whose father was a jockey. Many of the 800 people working "behind the track" live in dormitory rooms or very small rooms above the stables. When children are in the family, they have to move to a nearby trailer park. Helping Hands visited with Rev. Vincent Harris, the American Baptist Missionary whose work at the track encompasses many more things than just the spiritual parts of the lives of those he serves. He helps to arrange for medical needs, clothing, transportation, as well as lending an ear when someone needs someone to talk to. Race Track Ministry is a self-supporting endeavor.
