Christmas Offering

We have an opportunity for a special Christmas/End-of-Year Offering on Sunday, December 30. As you plan your gift-giving budget, be sure to include a line for your church family too. God gave us the ultimate gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. So that others may come to know Jesus, your gift to His church will enable His ministries to continue.

We are in need of a few more people for our Prayer Chain. When a request for prayer comes in, Jan Pattison calls the people on the prayer chain and asks them to pray specifically for the special request that is given. That's it! If you are interested in being a part of this vital ministry, contact Jan Pattison.

Pastoral Search Team update

They completed the 2009 Curch Profile, and bound copies are ready for distribution to candidates. They received two sets of candidate packages from Rev. Bob Cassady (ABC-Ohio Minister of Congregational Development Central/Northeast) that contained 36 profiles. After reviewing the profiles individually and as a group, the Search Committee has selected 10 candidates to contact. Initial contact letters will be sent out the week of January 24. Hopefully, we will receive interest in our vacancy allowing us to exchange profiles and information with the candidates.

The Committee has developed a list of interview questions to help guide them in identifying the candidate with the best fit and ministry goals for Trinity. The Committee is also registered for the upcoming Face-to-Face event taking place in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 26th & 27th. This is an opportunity for the Committee to personally meet and interview a number of potential candidates in a short time.

Please support and pray for the team in their service to the church.

The Penny Project

The Helping Hands ABW of Trinity is sponsoring the National Women's "Penny Project", to aid children living in poverty. The goal is to raise a penny to represent each of the estimated 14,000,000 children living in poverty in the U.S. and Puerto Rico by April 2010. The funds donated by Trinity will be used to aid 1,800 of those children who live in Stark County. There is a container in the lobby for your loose change to help reach their goal and to help reach out to a needy child.
