About Trinity Baptist Church

Mission

Leading people to a moment of truth with Jesus Christ.

Vision

We will be a relevant, caring, growing community, bringing Christ to the local setting. We will become a destination for the community - our friends and neighbors, believers and unbelievers - by spreading Christ’s joy, and providing special events and services that demonstrate God’s love in practical ways to our community. We will be outwardly-focused, demonstrating a quality of life that leads non-Christians to desire Jesus and inspires Christians to greater levels of fruitfulness in God’s kingdom. We will develop our church property into an outreach center, where people can enjoy an epic experience and encounter God, whether inside or outside.

Core Values

Prayer – Encouraging personal commitment to praying to God, listening to and communicating intimately with the living Christ, both individually and together. (Matthew 21:13; 1Thessalonians 5:16-18; Philippians 4:6)

Relationship – Believing that Christianity is more than a religion--it is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Helping those distant from God come into an intimate relationship with Jesus. (Colossians 1:28-29, Romans 5:6-11)

Dynamic, Epic Worship – Cultivating enthusiastic worship that is refreshing, powerful and inspirational, and expressed with passion, reverence, and joy. Exalting and celebrating Christ wholeheartedly with Spirit-filled, meaningful worship experiences and biblical preaching applied to life, encouraging participation by all. (Psalms 107:1-3, 21-22; Psalms 95:1-7; Psalms 29:2; Psalms 34:1-3; Ephesians 5:19-20; 1Timothy 2:8; Philippians 4:4; John 4:24; Romans 12:1)

Spiritual Formation and the Pursuit of God – Spending individual quality time reading God's Word in the Bible, growing life-long in the image of Christ. (Psalms 63:1-3; Romans 15:4; 2Timothy 3:16-17; Luke 21:33; John 1:1-3; Psalms 119:89; Joshua 1:8; John 1:1-3; 2Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5-6; Galatians 2:20; Leviticus 11:44; 1Peter 1:14-15; Romans 12:1-2)

Discipleship – Spreading the Joy: teaching, training and learning to follow Christ. Keeping the word of God central, studying and teaching it to God's family and the community. First to grow as disciples of Christ ourselves and then to make disciples of others. Jesus' love, mercy, grace, truth, purity, power and integrity shining through all that we are and do. (Matthew 28:18-20; Hebrews 6:1-2; Ephesians 4:32-5:2)

People – Experiencing life in Christ together while building healthy relationships, seeking to encourage each other in the things of God. Working together to build the Church through maintaining mutual respect, open communication, determined cooperation and believing and speaking the best about each other. Fellowshipping with each other, encouraging ourselves in the faith and praying together, bearing one another's burdens, motivating one another toward love and good deeds. (Acts 2: 42-47; Hebrews 10:25, 35; 1John 1:7; 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, Romans 12:9-10)

Every Person a Dedicated Servant – Everyone using their God-given gifts to serve Christ, one another and the world seven days a week. (1 Corinthians 12; 1 Corinthians 14:12; 1Timothy 4:14-15; Romans 12:4-8; Ephesians 4:4-7, 11-12; Mark 10:37, 43-45)

Culturally-Current, Sensitive and Progressive Methods – Bringing Christ to the local setting, with relevant, contemporary approaches appealing to both the believer and the unbeliever. Developing an atmosphere of trust and comfort to which our culture can respond positively. (1Corinthians 9:19-23)

Evangelism – Being outwardly focused, reaching out with the good news of Jesus Christ, testifying through our words and our lives, and supporting missions throughout the world. Ministering to our friends and neighbors who do not know Christ through involvement and identification with them without losing our identity in Christ, in order to lead them to a moment of truth with Christ. (Matthew 28:16-20; Mark 8:1-8; Mark 16:15-16; Philippians 1:6; Acts 1: 8; Acts 4:34-35; John 10:9; John 14:6)

The Meaning Behind the Trinity Baptist Church Logo

JAGGED EDGES – Our imperfect lives and our need for a Savior.

CROSS – God’s grace, and our salvation through Christ’s sacrifice.

FISH – Our Christian family, as the symbol was used to identify believers after Christ returned to the Father. Our mission: "To lead people to a moment of Truth with Christ," to be fishers of men.

FISH SURROUNDING CROSS – Our need to keep our lives Christ-centered; to have a personal relationship with Christ, and to have Him dwell within us.

"BRUSH-STROKE" STYLE – Our recognition of God as Creator.

RED – Christ’s blood shed as atonement for our sins.

BLACK – The depth of our sin borne by Christ upon the cross.

GOLD – The precious treasure we have in Christ and His teachings. The "Golden Rule": "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind. And, love your neighbor as yourself."
